HERE ARE OUR TIPS TO HELP YOU DO THAT:
Daily Maintenance
- Brush daily using a soft-bristle or loop brush to prevent tangling.
- Detangle gently, starting from mid-length to ends before brushing through the top.
- Secure your hair before bed in a low ponytail or loose braid to prevent friction.
- Avoid tight elastics or harsh hair ties that can pull on your extensions.
- Use salon-grade, sulfate-free products to preserve the integrity of your extensions and natural hair.
Consistency is everything when it comes to extension care.
These simple daily habits keep your bonds secure and your hair looking fresh between visits.
Washing & Styling
- Brush thoroughly before washing.
- Use lukewarm water and gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
- Apply conditioner mid-length to ends, avoid bonds or attachment points.
- Pat dry with a towel; never rub or twist.
- Apply a leave-in conditioner or lightweight oil daily to maintain softness.
- Always use a heat protectant when styling with hot tools.

Travel, Swimming & Sun Care
- Before swimming, apply a leave-in conditioner or protective oil to reduce dryness and prevent tangling.
- Always rinse immediately after swimming in pools or saltwater.
- Avoid sunscreens containing avobenzone or octocrylene, which can discolor extensions.
- Our stylists recommend SunBum, Supergoop, or Bare Republic.
- Keep your hair braided or in a low bun when swimming or sleeping on the beach.
Your extensions can keep up with you; they just need a little extra love on the go.

To keep your extensions looking their best, we recommend maintenance (or move-up) appointments every 8–12 weeks, depending on your method.
During these visits, we’ll check the placement of your extensions, ensure each bond or row is secure and comfortable, and make any necessary adjustments so your hair continues to feel seamless and natural.
At this time, all move-up appointments must be booked directly by phone or text. Our front desk team will be happy to help you secure the perfect time for your visit.
Please note: move-up appointments do not include color services. If you’d like to refresh your color at the same time, that will be booked as a separate service.
